haha yeah I know, my titles suck, lol. Oh well, least what I have to show you is good :) So its Friday, which means comfy casuals for me. Here I'm wearing Sakides' shredded leggings and bloody perv dress/ top, which are currently available on their Midnight Manias, if you can lock them down :) It's difficult to see from my photo, but the dress/ top has bloody handprints over the bewbs, hehe. I have accessorised this urban look with the beautiful 'The Oracle' choker from Virtual/Insanity. The Heavy Cross belt and Heavy Cross rings are also new from VI.

Twisted Fae!

So unless you are living under a rock, you will know that the 6th installment of the legendary Twisted Hunt is upon us! This time the theme is unseelie and the boxes you are hunting for are blurple. Old-timers will know, this is the hardest hunt on the grid, with many decoys and craftily hidden boxes which move around a lot, lol. If you have never done this hunt before I advise you to join the Twisted Hunters group for hints in your quest! Carnival Sinister

Its that time of year again when the Guild of Gloom rolls their carnival into town in support of the Sophie Lancaster Foundation. Many of your favourite dark 'n' twisted designers, such as beauty killer, dilly dolls, violet voltaire, pinkmares house, razorblade jacket, immateria, have lent their support to this worthwhile cause by creating new and, sometimes, exclusive items for sale at the carnival. Each designer has made at least one item specifically as a donation item for the cause. There's only a couple days left til the Carnival leaves town again, so today I went shopping at Carnival Sinster, and here is what I came away with:

Sophie Lancaster, off course, was the young UK goth girl who was attacked, along with her boyfriend Rob Maltby, for being dressed as a goth. Sophie bravely shielded Rob to protect him from the brutal attack. Rob survived the attack, but Sophie lost her fight for life in the hospital. The Sophie Lancaster Foundation aims to create more awareness of these kinds of hate-crime and to stamp out intolerance towards people from alternative subcultures, and to have the UK Hate Crime legislation extended to include people from “alternative subcultures” or “Lifestyle and Dress".

OK, so I've been busy in RL and not really found anything in SL to inspire me to blog the past few weeks, however, I figured I'd show you a few things I've grabbed over the last few days which you might be interested in.

This cute lil dress Im wearing is a recent lucky board score from Belle Morte. I'm wearing it with absolutely awesome sculpted Lament boots from Favole. These are Themis Enzo's gift for the Zombie Killers Hunt, which runs til 28th May. These boots have awesome sculpted skull-hands on the back, and a lil spider sits on top of these, and actually *moves*. Heres' a close-up of them:

Another good find on the ZKH is this skin I'm wearing here. This is the hunt gift from Furore, and heres' a close-up:

The adorable sugar skull tatoo shown here isn't free, but at only L$10 I couldn't resist them. They are from La Malvada Mujer which is another store in the ZKH. Poses are from still life and estetica. All photos were taken at the Guild of Glooms' Carnival Sinister, which is a fundraising event to support the Sophie Lancaster Foundation. Meh, I suck at thinking up titles, but since everything in this post is black and white, Cruella de Ville sprung to mind, lol. Anyways, last night Ghanima put a hot NEW dress into the riotvend @ Blue Blood, Adele in white-goth. As versatile as ever, this dress comes with a lolita skirt or a gown, and also can be worn with a jacket or without. I'm wearing the lolita skirt because its my favourite style! This will only be in the riotvend for a day, so grab a bunch of dolls/ goths and riot that vendor! It goes down to 50L if ya get enough bodies in there!!

The simply breathakingly beautiful skin I'm wearing is from Edge of Sanity and is currently available in the No Strings Attached 2 Hunt, you do NOT want to miss getting your hands on this!! It comes in four tones and includes doll joints ON the skin. The lace mask is also ON the skin, but it is also included seperately as a layerable tattoo so you can wear it on any skin you have, bonus!

OK, so ya'll probably already know about the Twisted hunt, and if you didn't, where the heck have you been hiding??? lol Anyways, its not called Twisted for nothing, it is the hardest hunt on the grid, and they are proud of that, so this is not a hunt for the faint of heart. Dolly Dashing!!

So its the last week of the month, which means its time for another Dolly Dash hunt. In case you didn't know, this is a fun mini hunt organised by the Dolly Dash Group, which undertakes a different theme each time. This months' theme is bunnies, and the participating vendors have outdone themselves with original, high quality gifts.
Take a look at this amazing "Bunny Ritual" dress from Pinkmares House, which comes with the huggable bunneh also shown.

Big Sale at Frick!

Oh my goodness, gothlings! Are you short on cash but dying for some gorgeous clothes and skins? Well, if you haven't heard, Frick is having a massive sale on *everything* in the store. Yes, some of it is very colorful, but I'm going to show you some of the very gothiest things I could find there.

This is the Frick's Morta in Black. It also comes in many more colors, but this one is the gothiest. It's only L$30. The boots are from Malfean Visions, which always has some kind of boots in the lucky chair, MM, or on sale. Nice boots! I'm also wearing Frick's Vengeance skin which I picked up for only L$15. It comes with the version shown here, plus another version with larger lips. As I was shopping, I found another version of the Vengeance skin, this time on the tattoo layer for only L$45. The tattoo layer version has many more options, so I bought that one, too! You can see the tattoo version of Vengeance on the left below.

Here, I’m wearing the Vengeance Tattoo makeup with skin from Style by Kira. The underlying skin and makeup are on sale at Kira’s shop (I think until Skin Fair is over). If you want a beautiful goth skin, you should really keep an eye on her shop because she often releases goth and fantasy skins, and she always has specials. The other skin shown above is the awesome Fear tattoo layer makeup, which I’m wearing again over the Style by Kira skin. I tried it on over other skins and they look great on many of them, especially skins that are “nude” or “bare” of makeup. This Fear set comes in many combinations – the cracks on your face and body or just upper or lower, etc., etc. They also come on clothing layers as well. How much for all this? Only L$45!

While I was at Frick shopping like a crazy person, the Lucky Board called my letter, and I won these Caged in Blood tattoo layer makeups, too.

They come with and without eye makeup. I’m wearing them over a Heartsick fairly bare skin here. Ok. Want to see some cute clothes at fantastic prices?

This one is called “Love, Oh!” and it comes in Lust (red) and also Sweet (pink - not shown). It comes with two skirts and the option to wear the top without the red part and without the jeweled bodice. In other words, it comes with lots of options for so little money. How little? How about L$37? Whoot! I’m wearing hair from Tacky Star – that’s right Aura tried her hand at hair. Since it’s her first attempt and she was a little nervous, she named the hair “Don’t Laugh.” The textures are so shiny! I didn’t laugh. It comes in about a bazillion colors, too. The dolly key I’m wearing is fairly new from Malfean Visions. The whole fatpack was on the Riotvendor recently. It comes in several metal options. Oh, the skin on the left is also from Style by Kira – one of those goth skins that were/are on sale.

Frick has several Lolly dresses for only L$20 each. This one is the Blood Lolly. The Lolly dresses come with two skirt options and the system pieces are on all layers so you can mix and match ‘em. I didn’t take the time to do that for this post though. You’re on your own to try out different looks with them, k? The dress comes with a ribbon choker with the bow in the back. Look how cute this skin is! I love it! This is Rotten Toe’s group gift skin for Valentine’s. It comes with the etched heart over your eye on the left, shown above, or on the right (below).

This version also has more blood and a darker lipstick in a heart pattern. Elsa really should do more skins coz they are adorable *and* creepy in such an awesome combination. The Lolly dresses also come in purple, pink, and a shocking yellow. Don't worry, I'll only show you the purple!

This is the Grape Lolly, worn with free skin from aMused – so pretty!

Sometimes, very rarely, but sometimes I like to wear pink.

Don't I look just adorable?? The absolutely gorgeous dress I'm wearing is from Wretched Dollies, and was available for half its usual retail price yesterday (Saturday 26th February 2011) as part of the weekly Dolly Dash sale, if you are lucky, it might still be half price! It was also available in red and blue if you aren't such a big fan of pink. The boots I'm wearing are also from Wretched Dollies, these are available on the lucky chair for a limited time!

The skin I'm in was a group giftie from Edge of Sanity to The Thrifty Goth group, I totally love this skin, its just soooo pretty! The doll joints are included ON the skin.

Finally the gorgeous hair is available on the lucky boards over at Ray Skin. The boards are group only, but its free to join.

This hunt is the perfect alternative valentines hunt for all us gothlings. Its simply packed full of dark, gothy gifties. Here's some of what you can grab along the way.

Mobvends and Lucky Chairs - A Purple Palooza!

This past Saturday, a group of about 15 Thrifty Gothlings went on a mobvend binge, scoring some lucky chair items along the way. A fun time was had by all and most of us vowed to make this a weekly party. Tonight I'll show you some of the items we scored, plus another item I scored the day before at Nightshade. I had to include the Nightshade item because it's purple, and funny enough, many of the items I nabbed Saturday are purple. It's a purple palooza, I tell ya!

First up, on Friday evening or so, I ran over to Nightshade to pick up the sale item and scored this little cutie in the lucky chair. Actually, Nightshade really loves D's, so I scored three times (!) within about 15 minutes.

Very nice! Thanks, Bella, you know we love you! But back to the mobvends, our first stop was actually The Delectable Doll because Sherri had recently changed out the mobvend to Bad Dharma in Plaid Purple. Look how hot this dress is...

I love those rips that show the fishnet underneath - hot! And it's a bargain coz it comes with two skirts. Thanks, Sherri! While we were there, waiting for the mobvendor's price to drop, we bided our time hitting the Mini Mania. Wouldn't you know that I won the violet version of Lil Miss Gothy?

Oh, by the way, the jewelry set I'm wearing in the above two pictures is from Needful Things, which has this set on sale for only L$50 as part of the Happy New Year Event going on through the end of the month. Back to the Mobvend party! The last item I'll show you, although not the last item I scored, is also purple, and was our second stop on the "tour." It's the sexy, all-prim, Death Rose outfit from Bad Juju.

There is a new hunt that started a couple of days ago, its the Side Show Freaks hunt. Its only a small hunt with about 50 or so stores involved, but it is deliciously dark themed and some of our own TTG stores are taking part including; rotten defiance, dark dolls, bad juju, grim bros, tacky star, souzou eien, and whatevr. Heres' some pictures I took of the gifties, unfortunately I have not photographed everything cus that would take far too long, if you like what you see, get on the hunt!

I wish I could write poetry, but unfortunately that is not my forte otherwise there'd be a few lines about the beauty of Christmas here. However, Christmas is on its way, snow is falling both in rl and in sl, and in the latter there are some dark delights to enjoy.
This beautiful red Doll Keeper gown is amongst a selection of holiday-themed reduced items at Pinkmares. The original Doll Keeper dress is one of my favourite outfits by Pinkmares, and this one is no less beautiful! It comes complete with pocket dollies, fur trimmings, gloves and the warm winter hat!! As always in SL there are many hunts going on right now, quite a few of which are dark/ goth themed. The next outfit I want to show is the Gothmas by Gaslight giftie from our old favourite; Malfean Visions. This is a stunning black gown which comes complete with gloves (essential to keep those dollie hands warm during the winter!!).
Worn in both photos is the zombie popcorn 3 giftie from Miasnow (this hunt is now offically over I'm afraid, but if you hurry you might still be able to grab this one ;) ). Heres' a closer look:

Horrorfest 2010 is upon us!!

Hi gothlings, I wanna take this time today to tell ya'll about Horrorfest 2010. If ya haven't already heard about it; its a horror themed charity event taking place until October 31st. All proceeds from the charity vendors and donations go to the Sophie Lancaster Foundation. This is a charity that is very close to my heart, and should be to yours aswell. You may or may not be aware, Sophie was a young goth girl from Bacup, UK (approx 30 miles from me!!) who was tragically beaten to death in 2007 simply for being a goth! Her boyfriend was also beaten very severly and only survived the attack because of Sophies' attempts to shield him from their attackers. The Sophie Lancaster Foundation was set up in her memory and aims to, not least, make the UK Hate Crime legislation extended to include people from “alternative subcultures” or “Lifestyle and Dress” so that this kind of crime may never be repeated. I'm sure ya'll can see what a worthwhile cause this is.

Go visit Horrorfest, and make sure you have plenty of lindens on hand because there are so many wonderful desingers involved who have worked really hard to create things for this event. Heres some of what I got (I will add to this later XD ):

Hello, gothlings. Weird Designs released a new dollarbie today, and I thought I'd show it to you. It features a gorgeous corset, a sexy wisp of a skirt, and ripped stockings.

I'm also wearing the Stakes Are High necklace from Lolapop! which is available in the Lucky Board. The hair is a brand new release from ploom (not free) for the Hair Fair. Weird Designs also put out the Bloody Death in Vogue dress as a group gift awhile back. (Not sure when, maybe last week?)

I love the openness of the bodice with the straps, and it looks great both with and without the bolero jacket. Gotta love the blood splatters, too. This lady has been involved in some shady business. The necklace I'm wearing is another Lucky Board item from Lolapop! - the Broken and Bleeding necklace (red). The hair is another new release from ploom (not free) for Hair Fair.

While going through the TTG list I came across the LM to The Dollhouse so I was off to see what were the offerings to beheld since half my sl is spent being a dolly dancer . the moment I saw this dress Gothic City Doll , I was so in love and had to wear it along with the aptly named Lauren skin in the In Love makeup , a steal at 50L while Beautiful Engineer the creator some of the most amazing doll skins I've seen in SL sets up new vendors so I don't know how long you can get this beauty at this price.

omgomgomg the ever awesome Putrid Gloom from Show Me on The Doll recently dropped a box on me which contained her fabulous NEW release dress - Raspberry Whine. It's currently for sale on the new releases wall for just $L50, I dunno how long it will be at this rice for, so go grab it while you can!!! It also comes with a fabulous feather boa to match which I have not worn in this picture (I'm not a huge fan of boa's Im afraidn in rl or sl *gasp* lol). The tippytoe ponyboots in magenta complement this dress perfectly, and are currently available on the midnight mania and just need 100 slaps to lock it, so go hit that board!!

Hey, guys, I'm back with a first for me - a retraction. RL has been kicking me in the butt so much this last week, that I was bound to make mistakes. And I did. I previously posted that the Gother Than Thou Hunt gift from aMused was the Ruby Demon skin. Wrong! It's actually this skin....

I'm also wearing the hunt gift from Show Me on the Doll - the beautiful, demure Loss Gown. I love that bustled skirt! Don't I just look like some dead school marm? heh heh. The beautiful Ruby Demon skin is the hunt gift from aMused. It just begged for horns, so I added some horns I found at House of Ruin's going out of business sale. The outfit, which includes the boots, belly piercing, bracelets, and collar, as well as the skirt and top is the fantastic hunt gift from DV8.

This cute little dress is the hunt gift from Arsenic Lace - the Clarette dress. It comes with the sculpted shawl. In the center picture, I've removed the shawl so that I could show you the hunt gift from Shameless Designs - the Gother Than Thou necklace. I'm wearing the DV8 boots once again because they are made of awesome. :) Ok.. I have two more to show you, before I run off to take more pictures for you.

It's New Release day at F'd Up!!

That's right - today is new release day at F'd Up, and there are some gorgeous skins to be had at a fantastic price!! This week, there are 3 new ones - Flutterby, Lael and Digital Virus. When Destroyed Faith puts out a new skin, it is priced at $L99 for the first week. What a steal for such gorgeous skins!!

Subscribe-o-matic members got a sneak peek at the Flutterby Pomegranate skin, but today the rest of the colors were released. (Seven colors total, plus a special MM only rainbow variation).

I couldn't resist getting two more colors. Below are Flutterby in Pomegranate, Acai and Boysenberry.

Next, we have the beautiful Lael skin. Inspired by our lovely Queen Oriana, Lael features dark eyes and fantastically detailed red and black lips. Lael comes in eight variations, including one adorned with jewels and one with spider web detailing on the face. I am wearing Lael - Desired below.

Swampin' Shoppin' at the Alternative Fair

I went over to the Alternative Fair, and was overwhelmed with the coolness of the temporary build. I also had to read the sign by the swamp. World Malaria Day is April 25th, and the organizers of the event (namely the owners of the Pulse, Nomine, Sn@tch City and New Kadath Sims) decided to support the Nothing But Nets Campaign. Every 10 USD raised through this event will buy a bed net that can keep an African family free of worry about malaria for years to come. Every 30 seconds a child in Africa dies from malaria. Help the children, peeps. There's donation jars all over the Fair and all the designers have special vendors with outfits where 50 percent of the proceeds go to charity. Like the one where I bought this L$100 outfit from Wretched Dollies. Star is one of my favorite designers, and I was so happy to find her at the Fair. Gaia's Sonata in Blue is a fab outfit with a lot of options. You receive both female and male versions, and Star makes her stuff trans for easy gift giving, so not only do you get to look hot, your man can too. Please read her EULA and follow her wishes so she continues to allow trans/mod on her items. The hair is Nightshade Elena, and the shoes are Black Arts Demonia Bat. Black Arts has an awesome outlet store here that helped me when I started on sl, and a crown as their special item. And what goth doesn't like to wear a crown once in awhile? I'm also a mad hatter, and the top hat that came with this outfit is to die for, big and velvety with nice curves and a blue rose and nosegay on the brim. The Ginger hair in Storm from the L$50 wall at Nightshade goes perfectly with this suit, and I love my skins from the lucky chairs at Rasetsukoku. Here I am, having a cup o' tea in a sea of mushrooms, all from the Tuft Alyce set; except the sitting shroom, from Dilly Dolls. I'm quite spent after my adventures at the Alternative Fair, it'll be nice to be in a wonderland for awhile. The Fair runs until May 2nd. Don't be late for this very important date!

Shelly Nakajima here again! As I mentioned in my first blog post, I am currently completely obsessed with skin...which is why I am so excited to do this post about one of our newer sponsors, F'd Up Goth Skins & Piercings. I come to you this evening with a public service announcement. We are quickly approaching April Fool's Day, but I'm not joking when I say you should run to snag some of the great gifts to be had from two hunts some Thrifty Goth stores were involved in this month. I had a lot of fun and really blew out my inventory searching for the green Hellraiser boxes of the Twisted Hunt and the spinning gears of the Steam Hunt. Of the two, Twisted is way higher difficulty, with a few exceptions, yet more consistent when it comes to quality of merchandise and gothiness. There are too many TTG sponsors and merchants involved with this one to list here, but my favorite participants are DV8, Blue Blood, Dilly Dolls, Nightshade Designs, Rasetsukoku, and Sangre Noir (as an aside, hope you caught the TTG notice about the L$44 item up for grabs at SN, it's limited time and one of the many awesome creations in that realistic shop). DV8 is the driving force beyond the beginnings of this hunt, and is an appropriate start location. Check out the deliciously creepy special start room and their clearance sale as well. Be warned, however, the little green box isn't easy to find here, and that's foreshadowing for your coming adventure. There are a few TTG merchants involved in the Steam Hunt that also ends tomorrow at midnight. Most notably for me, Amaranthus, the first jewelry store I ever saw on the grid and still my favorite. It's also the place I slapped the TTG group joiner and started my journey into the darker side of SecondLife fashion. Their set for the Hunt is as high quality as the pocket watch that is my favorite, despite coming across many more since I found it on the Peace on Earth hunt a few months back. +ezura+ is the other TTG merchant on the hunt list, their zipper gloves are my favorite (I have red and black), and their hunt gift has buttons that match the Amaranthus set in color quite well. I had a great time on this hunt, though I haven't gotten around to rezzing a lot of the buildings yet (who has that sort of space?) and some of the gifts were from zany creators. Fun, but their usefulness to a goth is rather suspect. I hate to reiterate an excellent post by Vyxsin, but my best shopping spree this week was at the Spring Bazaar, and I spent the most L$ at Tuft. Their egg prizes were great, but I had to splurge on the Grunge Star pants with their black stars on white capris with just the right amount of shading to make them appear to move with and mold to you. Now all I need is a Zero shirt and I can broadcast my love for Billy Corgan, fashionably. Don't forget to put a few linden in the purple voodoo bear to get an awesome little mouth treat. This rack-like pose I found sitting on one of the tulips at the Bazaar inspired a cybergoth in spring look. Breakdown of its TTGness (from top to bottom):

Claudia Hair from Nightshade Designs (from the chess piece hunt a few months ago but I hope she's selling it, I love this hair, perfect when I'm in a crazy sort of mood).

Mouth treat from the Tuft booth at the Spring Bazaar.
Halter and skirt are yours if you can find the Hellraiser box at DV8 before midnight.
Ripped black fishnets from the Rotten Defiance Death Becomes Her Hunt mask.
Super fab violet moonboots are the Lexia II ones from Dilly Dolls (I loved her mini-hunt for the outfit so much I had to buy the boots)
Skin and bloody barb-wire accessories slathered on top of their accompanying shape and acquired from Fatal Error. It's been my skin of choice for wandering about at night the past few days.
Shiny key broach on my breast is from Amaranthus.

So come along with me and try to finish up Twisted Hunt tomorrow. Gotta stock up on darkness before the bright sun of spring.

Slap The poster and you'll have the opportunity to buy really coll dresses and corsets, made with exsiquisite textures. Dresses goes to 100-150 L to very cheapy 50 L for gorgeouse corset with a lot of dressing option and accessories [Collars, gloves ecc]. I've slap it ot several times *giggles*, when the shop owners put the gift card during Xmas festivity so I've bought a lot of pretty goth goodies, today I've slap it again. I suggest you to go and check 'cos is really easy to lock down with 200 access, if so try again tomorrow! Gothic Circus Dollies

Hi eveyone! *Kaetel sends you Trifty gothic Kisses* Today I'll show you two styles made up from a great dolly style dress, which I won in one of ++Blue Blood++ Lucky boards! The dress name is "Wonderland" [ Here in Rust, but there are several other colours], and its girly-mad look is really suggestive.

I paired it with free "Hungry Heart Stockings" by xbordeaux 1 L black flats by *JetDolls* And a gorgeouse FREE hair style gently offered by M&M here in Xstreet SL! [ later Il'' show you a close-up of the hair and of the skin I'm wearing]. Just because I *really* love mix and match items I' ve created one other style, using this time this cheapy but beautifully textured "vintage corset" that you can find for 5 L again in Xstreet SL.

As you can see the texture is really nice, and the black pearl cascade at the front of the top gives a real Victorian touch. I'm wearing Free Exile Micah hair style in Violet shade. And Free Circus Pumps in Rust by Vignette [a lot of other colours are avaible]. At the end I'd like to show you the skin I wear in my two styles: "Living Dead Girl" by Miss.Murder, a really talented Freebie skin and shape creator. OK, so I KNOWWWWW pink is not a favourite of us goths, hehe, but take a look at this outfit I put together from a variety of our favourite stores. The beautifully detailed dress is the subscribo-gift from The Dollhouse. The fabulous pink and black latex boots (shown in close-up here) are the Virginia Hills boots in bubblegum from the lucky chairs at Dare Designs. So I was sitting around SL when I get a TTG IM telling me about 10L skins. Of course I have to check it out! I got there and wow. I love it. Not just cuz I'm Goth, but because I really am a pale girl in RL too and these skins are cool. Had no idea Dilly Dolls made skins. These first 4 are all in the DD* pack for 39L!

A Twisted new entry!

Hi there thrifty gothic beauties! This is Kaetel and for my first post, I'm going to show you some "Twisted hunt" darky prizes. But first, just few words to describe the event. Twisted is one of the most eccentric and original hunt which will give us the opportunity to grab really cool outfits and bloody items. It starts from +DV8+ store, which is the annual organizer and goes trought 150 gothic shop, ending just 31 March. Here's the official site with all organizers and participant designers. You'll need to join the hunters group [it's free] to ask for hints and little help. The hunt item is a tiny *acid green* box, and just its colour tell us the main topic of this annual hunt: Arsenic, Absinthe and all that dangerous and evil drinks. *Wow* !! And now I'll show you some prizes, starting from +DV8+ one.

Here it is, "Electrifie" outift in 3 differents shades: Blacklight, Ashes and Chartreuse. There's also a male and a unisex prize, which is a gorgeous BioTox Mask. Twisted Krissmuss Shopping Tour -- December 7th - 30th

This is more of a sale than a hunt. The merchants that participate in the Twisted Hunt in September (which includes +DV8+, Sn@tch, Netherworld, Morbid Mausoleum, Nightshade Designs and several other dark/goth stores) have created special, *transferable* Holiday items for 100 Lindens each. Dreaming of a Goth Christmas Hunt -- December 1st - 31st

This one was designed by Morbid Emor of Morbid's Mausoleum and takes place entirely in her store. That means no confusing multiple stops or inaccurate landmarks! The items cost 10 Lindens each, so this hunt is not free, but the prizes are fabulously high-quality and perfectly tailored to our goth theme. There also aren't any hints; but isn't the search supposed to be half the fun? Look for glossy little black Christmas trees scattered around the store.

Curse O De Black Pearls Hunt -- December 15 - January 15

Arrr! This be a Dark pirate-themed hunt! Treats and curses galore! This one starts at Sirens Song (Underhill 210,170,24) and the hunt item is a small, glossy black sphere prim that looks like a black pearl. And the items are free!

DarkerSide X-Mas Hunt - dates not given

This one's short, but still sweet. Go to DarkerSide's main store (Green Mist 34, 244, 22) and look for little candy canes with small goodies in them. The last one contains a beautiful Ice Angel avatar. Also, check out the holiday tree near the entrance to find several freebies! The sign at the store doesn't specify when the hunt begins and ends, but since it's Christmas-themed, it'll probably be taken down by the end of December.

Necrosis Christmas Hunt - December 5th - 25th

This hunt is sponsored by +Nightshade Designs+ (which is the starting point) and the Black Canary. Look for Gingerbread men holding tiny candy canes. The limited-edition, goth-themed goodies are 10 Lindens each.

Death Becomes Her Hunt -- January 1-15

This hunt is a celebration of the macabre, especially for women! What a great way to start 2010 off right. Look for little death masks that contain special prizes. Starting point is Morbid Mausoleum's main store in Tempest. During the January hunt, hints will be available at http://deathbecomesherhunt.blogspot.com

I know allot of my Goths are new to Lucky/Freebie group and therefore a little "lost" when it comes to "calling chairs in chat"... I periodically send out a card in Group and have been told its easy to read and use... BUT any comments/questions or improvements would be most welcome. Hope to see you In world!!!

What is calling chairs? Its a way of letting ppl in your group know the chair is on a certain letter so they know they can come and get the prize. How to do it? Easy!!

1. Open group chat for The Thrifty Goth

2. Put Letter that Chair is on in CAPS then the minutes left on the chair next to it.

3. Go to Map (NOT Mini).... on the bottom of ur screen and open. 4.Hit the " Show My Location Button"

5. Hit the "Copy SURL to Clip board " Button,... This will copy the LM for u to paste in chat

6. Go Back to group chat and after Letter and Number left, hit the space key and then hit Cntrl + V to paste local in chat

7. Hit send and WHOOOOTTTTT...... Us Gothics should come arunnin

****3-6 can also work for Spaces left on MM's and anytime u need to copy a local for the group to know about!! Hope to see more ppl calling those chairs!!!!

I am always on the lookout for new Gothic Designers Here in SL.... so whilst I was on the Twisted Hunt... I came across a Fab New store called Sangre Noir, owned by Noirran Marx that has a small but impressive collection of Gothic and Dark dresses for sale.

Cheap Goth Is Hard to find..... Or is it

Well at least I think it is, when it comes to skins anyway. Why is it most stores think Us gothy types will be happy with any old skin as long as its pale and looks like a cross between Alice Cooper and Marilyn Manson? NOT TRUE. Us darkly types also enjoy a quality skin with realistic yumminess. And this is why my gothly little being did a happy dance when I fell over this skin at Nightshade designs! For only 25L, this skin is pale and precious with tons of detail. Plus, u get 2 of them AND a shape that is totally decent. But goth shapes is for another post my lovelies. My personal favorite thing about this skin is the shine in the lips but im sure you will find ur own reason to love it as well. Hurry on down to Nightshade and tell Bella I said HI.

So.... Im a goth in SL ( and Basically in RL too), and I cant help but notice how many SL goth are as well. That being said, have u noticed that tho there are so many stores and things that cater to us and to our "lifestyles" (vampire games and rp sims), there are precious little blogs and groups JUST for us. So I thot I would change that. My goal here is to search out stores and designers that offer high quality goth,vampire and "darker style" apparel as well as skins & hair for free in chair MM's or group gifts or no more than 100l ( that includes the lowest prices on Mob vends).

I welcome Ideas and suggestions as well.You can always hit me up in world under Oriana Pooley. Thats ME!!! Just send a Notecard Titled to The Thifrty Goth and be sure to have ur name.
Any designers or store owners are welcome to send me LM's or folders with their offering. Please make sure it is being offered for no more than 100l at the time u send it to me and Please mark the Folder Clearly with ur name, store name and Attn: The Thrifty Goth.
